This is probably just a silly blog that I decided to write because, I believe, Generation X is the best generation. I remember building forts with my friends in the woods. I remember taking my slip n slide and putting it inside the linoleum flooring of my hallway. Then I had my friends come over as I threw water down the hallway on my slide and we slid until we hit the end of the hallway. I would scream at my kids if they did that to my house now. I remember dragging the phone cord from the living room to my bedroom and the cord would be stretched out for life. So many memories.
Generation X really does not a homebuyer's survival guide. But in my experience, when I've helped buyers and sellers, this is the generation that knows what they want. They know what it takes to get it done and can handle the updating or rehab. They are straight forward and eneration X has a humor to everything.
But for some Generation X'ers when coming to buying or selling homes, they haven't done it for a while. Times have changed. We no longer low ball offers like 2008. Sellers, for the most part, don't want to fix up their home. Picking apart the color of the walls does not mean that home should be demolished. So, here's some Gen X tips that hopefully still make you cool without acting like you're old. Remember, we are not our parents...yet.
